HISTORY
Entrepreneur Rob Schwartz identified a need for strategic resource allocation in healthcare organizations. Recognizing gaps in expertise in areas like fundraising, lobbying, event planning, public relations, and marketing, he founded Strategic Resources Group, LLC (SRG) to address these challenges.
SRG attracted diverse clients, including major retailers, economic development organizations, elected officials, and trade associations. Simon Schwartz, Rob’s son, joined the team in the early 2000s, expanding SRG’s expertise in event coordination, fundraising, membership recruitment, and public relations outreach.
SRG’s success with a Colorado healthcare provider coalition caught the attention of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, leading to their integration into the national organization. Tasked with overseeing daily operations for nine state ASC trade associations, SRG continued representing ASC Associations in multiple states even after parting ways with the national industry association.
In 2011, Schwartz enlisted Chris Skagen, JD, MELP, with expertise in environmental, nonprofit, business, and healthcare law, to join SRG. Skagen took on the role of Executive Director for both the Colorado ASC Association and Oregon ASC Association, adeptly navigating complex healthcare policy at local, state, and national levels.
In 2015, Simon Schwartz and Chris Skagen purchased the business from Rob Schwartz creating Strategic Resources Group Colorado. They have both expanded their breadth of services to help both the non-profit and for-profit realms of business.
